Dr Matthew Harrison's ord till kyrkotjänare/to churchworkers: "Formula of Concord, Solid Declaration XI, 49: "... before time began God preordained what sort of crosses and sufferings he would use to conform each one of his elect to 'the image of his Son,' and that the cross of each should and must 'work together for the good..."

Harrison hänvisar också till Bibeln: 1 Kor. 15:58 "Var därför fasta och orubbliga, mina älskade bröder, och arbeta alltid hängivet för Herren, eftersom ni vet att ert arbete i Herren inte är förgäves."
