Jesus, the same who was and is

"Perhaps Jesus goes to sleep that He might bless sleep. Perhaps He is tired that He may sanctify weariness. Perhaps He weeps that He may make tears blessed. He moves from place to place, who is not contained in any place; the timeless, the bodiless, the uncircumscribed, the same who was and is; who was both above time and came in time, and was invisible and is seen."

Gregory of Nazianzus on Matthew 19:1, quoted by Rev. Scott Murray in "A Year With the Church Fathers", p. 340

Hebr. 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

Rev. 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
