IRAN  

Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani (34, gift, två söner) dömdes redan i september 2010 till döden för apostasi av revolutionsdomstolen i provinsen Gilan och domen bekräftades av Högsta domstolen i juli 2011. I september 2011 förhördes Nadarkhani igen inför domstol och vägrade då avsäga sig sin kristna tro. I juli i år informerades han muntligt om att han på grund av nya åtal kommer att ställas inför rätta på nytt. Nu har han skrifligen inkallats till domstolen den 8 september, eller enligt vissa källor redan den 27 augusti. Inte heller den skriftliga stämningen anger avsikten med förhöret och den ursprungliga domen har inte hävt. Andra källr ange däremot att åtalet denna gång gäller "banditism och utpressning." Regimen försöker möjligtvis övertyga Nadarkhanis understödjare att han är kriminell och inte värd att stödas. Alternativt vill man genom att starta en ny rättegång med icke-bevisbara anklagelser försöka att officiellt "två sina händer" och ge över Nadarkhani till islamisterna och hemliga polisen, medan rättsväsendet själv förklarar sig "oskyldigt till denne mans blod". Sådant har också hänt tidigare i Iran.

De nya åtalen väcker farhågor om att de iranska myndigheterna, efter den omfattande internationella kritiken mot domen för pastor Nadarkhani, nu vill påverka rättsbehandlingen genom att komma med godtyckliga åtal. 

Utöver pastor Nadarkhani sitter minst 16 andra kristna i fängelset i Iran på grund av sin kristna tro och verksamhet. En av de fängslade iranska pastorerna, Behnam Irani, som riskerar avrättas på grund av apostasi, kan möta döden redan nu eftersom myndigheterna vägrar ge honom den medicinska vård som de tidigare lovat honom och som han akut behöver, berättar en nära vän och församlingsledare. Pastor Behnam Irani led fortfarande i fängelset den 26 augusti, berättar Firouz Khandjani, rådsmedlem i pastorns kyrka "Church of Iran", en växande evangelisk husförsamlingsrörelse.
"Han var flera gånger medvetslös", tillade Khandjani i en intervju. Nyligen tilläts Irani få begränsad vård i fängelsets sjukhus, men fram till idag verkar ingenting ha gjorts och han är fortfarande mycket sjuk."

KINA

"Vi ber för Alimujiang Yimiti, den kristna uiguriska husförsamlingsledaren, som avtjänar ett 15-årigt fängelsestraff i Fängelse nr 3 i Xijang och vars jurist från Peking illegalt och utan rimlig förklaring vägrades tillträde till Alimujiangs fängelse av tjänstemännen där. Må Gud trösta och styrka Alimujiang och alla dem som kämpar för att rätt och rättvisa ska ske i hans fall och i liknande fall i Kina."

PAKISTAN

"Vi ber för de kristna familjer vars barn har utsatts för brutala övergrepp och till och med dödats. Vi ber för 11-årige Samuels familj i Faisalabad och för den lilla flickan Muqadas familj i Sahiwal, att Gud tröstar och styrker dem. Vi ber också om vishet och auktoritet för dem som har åtagit sig att på juridiska vägar arbeta för dessa och liknande fall. Vi ber ocså för familjen till den 11-åriga mentalt handikappade Rimsha som anklagas för hädelse. Vi ber att åtalet mot henne ska läggas ner och att hon tillsammans med sin familj ska kunna leva i fred och frihet i sin hemstad."

Kyrkans Utlandshjälp på fel väg - Israels existens är hotad

"Kyrkans Utlandshjälp bedriver vid sidan av sin hjälpverksamhet en omfattande politisk verksamhet som går ut på att svartmåla Israel.
 
Om verksamheten bara skulle gå ut på att hjälpa palestinierna skulle det inta vara något problem men nu satsar organisationen resurser på att måla upp en falsk bild av Israel och situationen bland palestiniern. Ibland blir den ensidiga "information" man ger av situationen så fel att man kan tala om medvetna lögner och försök till att lura allmänheten i Finland.

Just nu pågår en kampanj där organisationen försöker påverka beslutsfattarna att kräva att de israeliska produkter som produceras i "olagliga bosättnigar" inte skall få säljas som israeliska utan produkterna borde märkas med beteckningen "bosättning/palestinska området".

Om personerna bakom kampanjen skulle vara personer som inte haft möjlighet att skaffa fram information och bakgrundsfakta kunde man kanske har överseende med dem men nu är så inte fallet och jag anser därför att det är fråga om ett försök att lura beslutsfattare och allmänheten.

Man har också satsat resurser på att producera en video "Laittomat naapurit" (olagliga grannar) där man gång på gång påstår att judisk bosättning på det man kallar västbanken är olagliga.

Man väljer att dölja det faktum att långt innan Israel blev självständigt och innan Jordanien ockuperade området väster om  Jordanfloden (och gav namnet västbanken till det som är Judéen och Samarien) så bodde judar i området.
 
Judarna fördrevs när Jordanien olagligt ockuperade området ( även från östra Jerusalem) men efter att Israel erövrade området i kriget 1967 kunde judar återvända till området.

Hela området väster om Jordanfloden (nuvarande Israel och det som kallas västbanken) har genom bindande internationella avtal getts till det judiska folket för att de där skall få återupprätta sin nationalstat. (San Remo konferensen och stadgarna för Palestina Mandatet)

Därför blir inte judisk bosättning i området olaglig hur många gånger än pro-palestinska organisationer eller politiker säger det.
(Det finns bosättningar som är olagliga enligt israelisk lag och det finns fall där bosättningar byggts på privatägd arabisk mark. Sådana fall bör naturligtvis åtgärdas på lämpligt sätt, men judisk bosättning i sig är inte olaglig)

Ett exempel på judar som tidigare bodde på det som kallas västbanken är judarna i Hebron. För exakt 84 år sedan, den 24 augusti 1929, attackerade araberna i Hebron judarna  och dödade 67 personer, män, kvinnor och barn.

Det var först efter att Israel erövrade området 1967 som judarna kunde återvända till Hebron. 

I samband med massakern 1929 förstördes Avraham Avinu synagogan, idag är den återuppbyggd.

Kyrkans  Utlandshjälp skulle antagligen beskriva återuppbyggarna som olagliga bosättare, men sanningen är mer komplicerad än så.

Kyr kans Utlandshjälp påstår i sin information att bosättningarna är ett hinder för fred, men en enkel kontroll av hur situationen var innan det fanns några moderna bosättningar och araberna (Jordanien) kontrollerade hela västbanken visar att terror och gerillaattacker mot Israel från arabernas sida var vanliga.
Det är inte judisk bosättning som är ett hinder för fred utan arabisk/islamsk motstånd till den judiska staten Israels existens.
De judiska bosättningarna på västbanken, öster om Gröna linjen, upptar endast mellan 1-2 % av områdets areal.
 
När Kyrkans Utlandshjälp i sin kampanj och upprop vill att produkter producerade av bosättningar på västbanken skall märkas med "bosättnig/palestinska området" har detta inget med verkligheten att göra utan är ett politiskt ställningstagande.

De palestinska araberna har aldrig haft någon egen stat i området (förutom Jordanien). De Palestinska myndigheterna har visserligen självstyrelse på en del av Västbanken men området är i juridisk mening ett omstritt område.

Judarna har enligt internationella avtal rätt att bygga och bo i området men staten Israel har sagt sig vara beredd att låta araberna i området upprätta en egen stat. 

De senaste åren har araberna/palestinierna vägrat förhandla om saken vilket betyder att läget är oförändrat: Det finns inget beslut på vad som skall bli palestinska områden och vilka områden som skall förbli israeliska. Därför skulle beteckningen "palestinska området" vara fel och ett sätt att förbigå de förhandlingar som Israel och palestinierna måste föra för att bl.a. komma överens om gränser.

När Kyrkans Utlandshjälp är med och ordnar en kampanj där judiska bosättningar i Judéen, Samarien och Jerusalem beskrivs som olagliga är man i praktiken med och förespråkar en etnisk rensning av det man vill skall bli en arabisk/palestinsk stat. De "palestinska områdena" skall var judefria.
 
Tänk vilket ramaskri det skulle bli om en kyrklig organisation skulle förespråka en etnisk rensning av Israel, och kräva att araberna flyttar bort.

Bidragsgivare till Kyrkans Utlandshjälp bör noga överväga om organisationens Israelfientliga inställning överensstämmer med den egna övertygelsen och om man har förtroende för organisationen. Om inte låt de ansvariga få veta det!"

SRI LANKA

"En pastor från en Assamblies of God-församling hade tillsammans med sin hustru besökt en församlingsmedlem och hennes dotter den 9 augusti. När de på eftermiddagen var på hemväg på sin motorcykel stoppades de i en korsning av en stor bil så att pastorns hustru flög av motorcykeln. De angreps då av en mobb bestående av ett 40-tal män tillsammans med fem buddistpräster och en medlem av den lokala distriktsledningen Pradeshiya Sabha. Mobben som kom emot dem hade med sig stenar och ropade "attackera dem" och "döda dem". Också chauffören i bilen anslöt sig till mobben, han hade nära förbindelser till en äldre regeringspolitiker. Pastorn släpades med marken och misshandlades av mobben. Hans hustru smädades med okvädingsord. Pradeshiya Sabha-medlemmen krävde att få veta vem som gett honom tillstånd att bo i området. Pastorn svarade att han bott i Deniyaya i många år och behövde inte tillstånd av någon att vara där. De beskyllde honom för att predika kristendom och hotade att döda honom om han inte slutade.

Mobben drog sedan iväg pastorn och hans hustru tillbaka till det hus som de tidigare hade besökt. De ropade åt kvinnan och hennes dotter som bodde i huset och frågade hur mycket de fått betalt för att konvertera till kristendomen. De svarade att de varit kristna länge innan de flyttade till Deniyaya och att deras beslut att följa kristendomen var ett personligt beslut grundat på deras övertygelse och att de inte fått några pengar av någon. Pastorn misshandlades igen, men han och hustrun lyckade fly från mobben och ta sig hem. Bilen som stoppat dem förföljde dem ändå ända hem. Pastorn fick skador på benen och kroppen, men ville inte åka till sjukhuset av rädsla för att bli förföljd också dit och få mera problem. Pastorn anmälde fallet till polisen i Deniyaya samma dag. Pastorns och hans hustrus id-bevis, hans mobil, Bibel och andra dokument stals i samband med attacken. Den 10 augusti fick flera personer inklusive församlingsmedlemmar vars nummer fanns i pastorns telefon falska samtal från någon som påstod sig vara pastorn och bad dem komma och träffa honom på olika platser.

Deniyaya har en multietnisk och multireligiös befolkning, bland annat en liten grupp kristna som nu är rädda för nya attacker och för förnedring.

ELFENBENSKUSTEN

"I december 2010 hölls omtvistade val i Elfenbenskusten som resulterade i att landet fick två premiärministrar. Sedan dess har konflikten mellan dessa muslimer och kristna forgått. I mars 2011 genomförde muslimska rebeller, som är lojala till presidentaspiranten Alassane Ouattara, en etnisk rensning av de huvudsakligen kristna guere-folket från deras landområden i västra Elfenbenskusten. Vid denna attack massakrerades hundratals guerer och tiotusentals måste fly. Traditionellt är guere-folket jordägare och huvudsakligen kristna, men tusentals av dem har inte kunnat återvända till sina hem som nu bebos av muslimer.

Omkring 5 000 guerer har levt som flyktingar i Nahibly-lägret i Duekoue som beskyddas av FN:s fredsbevarare. Den 19 juli 2012 stormades lägret av en massiv muslimsk mobb. Beväpnade med klubbor, machetes och gevär mördade de åtminstone elva flyktingar, skadade 60 och dränkte in lägret i bensin och brände ner det till grunden,vilket gjorde de 5 000 kristna guererna hemlösa än en gång. FN:s "fredsbevarare" har förklarat att de inte sköt mot angriparna för att undvika en "massaker". Skräckslagna flyktingar, som flydde till "fredsbevararna" för att få hjälp, rapporteras ha blivit bortkörda eller knuffade i armarna på sina attackerare, som sedan misshandlade dem obarmhärtigt framför ögonen på "fredsbevararna". Enligt FN är det ivorianska säkerhetsstyrkor som ska ha ansvaret för säkerheten i lägren, men inga sådan styrkor fanns på plats.FN: människorättsorganisation har fördömt attacken som enligt den hade "klart etniska motiv".

BURMA (MYANMAR)

"I juli utbröt våldsamheter mellan rakhine- och rohingyafolken - ett av de folk vi bad för under ramadan - i Burma och de fortsätter ännu med full kraft. Vi ber för en fredlig lösning på våldsamheterna. På ett område har en av dessa etniska grupper kommit med hetsuttalanden mot kristna, vilket kan leda till direkta hot eller våld. Många kristna har beslutat fly av rädsla för att situationen kan bli mycket farlig den närmaste tiden. Vissa missionärer i området har ändå beslutat stanna kvar i hopp om möjligheter att tjäna och hjälpa på alla sätt det kan. Vi ber för alla kristna i landet, både lokala och missionärer, att Gud beskyddar dem och ge dem sin frid och vishet att fortsätta leva ut sin tro."

Al Jazeera: "Syrian authorities have arrested Orwa Nyrabia, a prominent documentary filmmaker, and Mohammad Omar Oso, a well-known actor, the latest in a string of celebrities reportedly targeted for dissent during the country's 17-month uprising.




Nyrabia, who founded the "Damascus Dox Box" documentary film festival, was detained on Thursday at Damascus airport before boarding a plane to Cairo, Egypt's capital, friends and relatives said on Saturday.

Syrian police also raided the home of Oso, an actor who starred in popular TV series, and took him to an unknown place, the Damascus Media Centre activists' group said in a statement.

Oso's friends say he was shunned by the state after refusing to join the state-controlled actors' guild and sign statements declaring support for Assad at the start of the country's protest movement.

Activists say the two are victims of a wider government crackdown on prominent figures who have voiced criticism of the campaign of President Bashar al-Assad to crush dissent across the country.

Thirty-five year-old Nairabiya was part of a new generation of Syrian filmmakers who had defied a state ban on independent film production even before the revolt against the Syrian government, which has a monopoly on cinema and television production.

"It seems it is a crime to establish an independent cinema movement in Syria," said fellow Syrian director Ahmad Malas, in a video statement recorded at an undisclosed location outside Syria.

"We call for freedom for Arwa Nairabiya, an actor, producer and graduate of the Syrian Higher Cinema Institute who is always smiling," she said.

One of Nairabiya's friends, speaking from Damascus on condition of anonymity, said he feared for the filmmaker's safety.

Vart går Egypten? What happened in Egypt?

"Det ser ut som om Egypten skulle bli en islamsk diktatur snabbare än någon kunnat tro.
Egypten fick i juni en ny president, Mohamed Mursi, som  representerar Muslimska Brödraskapet. En del analytiker säger att han nu har större makt än hans föregångare Mubarak hade på sin tid.

Parlamentet, där Muslimska Brödraskapet är största partiet, fungerar inte.


Eftersom parlamentet inte fungerar har Egypten inte fått någon ny konstitution och presidenten har obegränsade maktbefogenheter.

President Mursi har avskedat de militära ledare som kunde ha fungerat som en balanserande faktor och ersatt dem med antagligen mer lojala generaler.

Liknande åtgärder kan väntas inom andra områden i samhället.


Ur Israels synvinkel blir inte saken bättre av att det verkar som om Egypten skulle ha förflyttat trupper till Sinai som inte är tillåtna enligt fredsavtalet mellan länderna. (Sinai demilitariserat område)

Orsaken till truppförflyttningarna är enligt Egypten att de behövs för att bekämpa den växande terrorismen i Sinai.

För Israels är det viktigt att Egypten bekämpar terroristerna i Sinai, därför har man egentligen inte ännu hört några protester från israelernas sida.

Om Egypten sänder trupper till Sinai utan Israels medgivande (det finns motstridiga uppgifter om så är fallet) är det ändå ett brott mot fredsavtalet och det kan skapa svårigheter i relationerna mellan länderna i framtiden."

In February 2011 the Mubarak regime fell. There was going to be a parliament elected in Egypt. The parliament was elected. Its election was invalidated. Today there is no parliament in Egypt.

The parliament was going to pick a constituent assembly to write a Constitution.
But now there is no Constitution. There are no restrictions on presidential powers.

And then there was a Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, but that was supposed to restrain the Muslim Brotherhood president.
And it was supposed to be restrained by the Egypt-Israel peace treaty and by the hope of getting US military aid. But the president got rid of it and fired the two top people and put in his own generals. And there is no restraint.

And we were told that the Egyptian government had promised to adhere to the Egypt-Israel peace treaty. But when it wished the regime simply violated the treaty and sent forces into the eastern Sinai.

"Rimsha Masih, an 11-year-old girl, was arrested on blasphemy charges; her accusers said that she had desecrated the Quran. Arrests under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are nothing new, but this particular case has attracted widespread attention because Rimsha is reported to have Down syndrome.


Rimsha was jailed on Friday, Aug. 19, after hundreds of neighbors gathered outside her house and demanded that police take action. According to the Christian Science Monitor, the crowd had heard rumors she had allegedly burned a Qaida, a learning guide to the Quran which includes excerpts of the Islamic scriptures. “On Friday I got reports that in a village on the outskirts of Islamabad, some 1,000 men had gathered after the Friday prayers sermons where the local cleric had asked for the massacre of Christians in the neighborhood over blasphemy by a Christian girl. But due to timely action by the police, we were able to calm the crowd,” says Dr. Paul Bhatti, adviser to the prime minister for National Harmony.


According to Dr. Bhatti, in an effort to protect Rimsha, her family, and other Christians in the area from vigilantes, a case had to be registered against her. “If the girl was free and not in jail, it would have been impossible to protect her,” he says. Rimsha is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25, according to the police officials investigating the case. The charges against her would likely be dropped once the medical report is completed.


Under Pakistan's controversial blasphemy law, the desecration of Islamic scriptures is punishable by death. Pakistan has struggled to handle blasphemy charges but in this case, according to The Christian Science Monitor, Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has stepped in early, saying he is taking "notice" of the issue and directed officials to investigate. “The case … demonstrates the growing bigotry in the society where people cannot even spare a mentally challenged child,” says Raza Rumi, a noted columnist. “However the intervention by the president is a healthy sign indicating that the moderate coalition parties in the government may take up the issue of reforming the blasphemy law again.”


Attempts in recent years to alter the blasphemy laws in Pakistan have been unsuccessful. It is very important that we first create interfaith harmony in Pakistan, without which such discrimination against non-Muslims will continue,” he says. National Commission for Justice and Peace (NCJP), a Christian human rights organization, estimates that each year more than 100 people are accused of blasphemy in Pakistan, a figure that is rising; however, the group says most of them are not genuine and occur due to personal enmity or discrimination against religious minorities.
The situation in Pakistan remains fragile this week leading up to her court date. Since her arrest, locals from the slum outside Islamabad where Rimsha lived say the case has sparked tensions between Christians and Muslims. Peter Jacob, a human rights activist, who heads the NCJP, says around 250 to 300 families have fled seeking shelter outside of the area."

JUSTIFYING THE UNJUSTIFIABLE

"God hardly needs our vindication. We are the lesser. He is the greater. We are blessed by Him, not He by us (Heb. 7:7). Neither does He need to be justified by us. What judge cares a fig for the vindication of the prisoner in the dock? The judge represents the law that grinds inexorably toward a verdict, no matter the views of the accused about the worth of the judge on the bench. A judge concerned about the good opinion of the criminal element would be a worthless servant of the law. In fact, no one should ever seek the good opinion of a bad person. God does not need our good opinion.

Yet God does exactly that. He solicits the good opinion of wicked people. But He does not do it because He craves their vindication but because in Christ He has vindicated us. Evil people like us, who can and should confess their depravity in the sight of God, are judged by God. How frightening that is; to know that we stand ever under the judging perception of the ever righteous God. But His judgment is unlike the judge of the earthly court, who is merely a servant of the law. The eternal judge is the author of the law, not merely its servant. His law is His creature; made by Him to serve those whom He created to live under it. He knows best how to avert its penalties from over us.

When I ask myself how and why the heavenly Judge should suffer His Son to suffer for me, I cannot account for it. What about me or in me, makes me worthy of such grace? How have I merited such an act on God's part? Which of my shining, unquestionable virtues has convinced my God that I ought to be redeemed by the bloody death of His spotless Son? None. Such an idea is laughable; worthy only of mockery. He vindicates me not for my sake, but for His. This is what grace is. Grace never calculates the value of those for whom it acts or the cost of acting. Our heavenly Father is never totting up our virtues like an Aristotelian shopkeeper keeping accounts. Grace always acts decisively for its own sake. "Love to the loveless shown, that they might lovely be." In this sense, Aristotle for all his wisdom is proven a fool. Virtue is God's, not ours. For grace that is earned is not grace. It is not, well, gratuitous, but merited; and therefore not grace. Before God Aristotle must be silent, just like the rest of us (Rm 3:19).

God speaks and, instead of judgment, His speech brings vindication. Bad people are spoken good. By the Sayer-into-being they are said to be what they could never be. Speak, Lord, Your servant hears. Then there can be nothing but justice, which comes from the One who speaks. This speaking comes not "out of the blue" but through the Scripture, which is the Word of God. Then that saying into being which has said us into good is now on our lips, so that we too may say into good those who, like us, need divine vindication. In this way, we finally justify God, that is, that we have the courage to say what He has said and to say it as graciously as He has. Then sinners will be vindicated and return to God. We justify the One who needs no justification."

"'Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment' (Ps. 51:4). What is this? Can God not be justified unless we are sinners? Or who will judge God? It is obvious that God in Himself and in His nature is not judged or justified by anyone. He is the eternal, constant, essential, and never-changing justice itself and the supreme Judge of all things. But in His words and works He is constantly resisted, opposed, judged, and condemned by self-righteous and self-satisfied men. There is a constant legal war between Him and them over His words and works. To say that you are justified in your words is, therefore, the same as saying that your words are justified and found and acknowledged to be true. Now here we cannot list all the words that are subject to the contradiction of the proud. We shall put them all in one heap and say: All Scripture and the Word of God point to the suffering of Christ, as He Himself declares in the last chapter of Luke (24:46-47) that Scripture contains nothing else than the promised grace and forgiveness of sin through the suffering of Christ, that whoever believes in Him, and none other, shall be saved. This truth and Christ's suffering and faith are resisted by all those who refuse to be sinners, especially those who have just begun to live. They do not want to admit that they are sinners, and they do not long for Christ, although God has promised in all His words that Christ should die because of sin. Therefore anyone who will not consider himself, or be considered, a sinner, tries to make God a liar and himself the truth.

'If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us' (1 Jn 1:10). The prophet is saying this passage: 'In order that this terrible sin of pride may not infect me, I confess that I am a sinner before You and do no good, so that You might remain in truth and prevail, and also overcome all who contend against You, justify themselves, and judge You in Your words.' For in the end God will prevail and gain the victory, either here by His goodness or hereafter by His severity. It will do no good to be justified before men or in our own eyes. We must ignore this and wait with fear to learn what God thinks about it."

Underligheter III - Guds Ords tillförlitlighet och klarhet ifrågasätts

Inkast "Aldrig färdig" (av Björn Vikström) Kyrkpressen nr 32 (9.8.2012)

Jag reagerar negativt på en formulering av biskop Björn Vikström i senaste numret av Kyrkpressen. Han filosoferar kring semester och fritidssysselsättning vid sommarstugan och anspelar i sammanhanget på Bibelns skapelseberättelse.

Han använder följande formulering som jag uppfattar som mycket negativ eftersom den uttrycker en så svag bibelsyn och som inte uppmuntrar till att tro på Guds Ords tillförlitlighet, auktoritet och löften.

Biskopen har även tidigare gett uttryck för en svag bibelsyn och tycks ha svårt att läsa innantill.

"Världen var inte färdig, när Gud såg på sitt verk. De sex skapelsedagarna utgör symboliska beskrivningar av hur Gud steg för steg formar en värld där levande varelser kan växa fram." (Björn Vikström)

- Vad menar biskopen med "symboliska beskrivningar"? Handlar det inte om vanliga 24-timmars dygn som ligger som grund för vilodagen och för vår arbetsvecka? Tror han inte att tex. syndafallet handlar om en historisk händelse? Ska våra präster inte hänvisa till Mosebok tex. under vigselakten enligt; 1 Mos. 1:27 "Och Gud skapade människan till sin avbild, till Guds avbild skapade han henne, till man och kvinna skapade han dem." 

Om inte - då "ramlar ju pärmarna av hela Bibeln"! Vad tycker biskopen att jag ska lära söndagsskolbarnen? Jag undrar om jag faktiskt överhuvudtaget skall ställa upp och hålla söndagsskola i denna kyrka? Kan biskopen inte ÅTMINSTONE säga att man får tro på skapelseberättelsens historicitet och att vi får lita på Guds Ord? Har biskopen tänkt på hur han skulle kunna UPPMUNTRA oss frivilliga som håller söndagsskola, är församlingsfaddrar osv med att vi FÅR tro Guds löften och lita på Bibelns klarhet? Man blir osäker eftersom han formulerar sig så oklart och dunkelt, men ändå vet jag att barnatron på Guds Ord håller att bygga på och att Ordet är rent och klart och tydligt.

- Håller samfundet ELKF fortfarande officiellt fast vid de lutherska bekännelseskrifterna? undrar jag oroligt. Biskopens felaktiga formulering tangerar (ifrågasätter?) Augustana; trosbekännelsen (himmelens och jordens Skapare) och även Konkordieformeln; om tex. arvssynden. Allt kommer i gungning om vi mister respekten för Guds Ord och/eller försvagar dess auktoritet.

Så beskrivs även de övriga dagarna. På alla de andra nitton (19) ställena i Bibeln där "afton" och "morgon" nämns i samband med ordet dag så betyder det alltid 24-timmars vanliga dygn. Detta gäller oberoende av textens litterära särart . Vanliga 24-timmars dygn avses även på de trettioåtta (38) ställen där endast "morgon och afton" nämns, utan ordet dag."

Hur skall skapelseberättelsen uppfattas?:

 "Skapelseberättelsen i första Mosebok innehåller en historisk beskrivning, inte en mytologisk berättelse, och inte ett symboliskt språk." --- Att skapelseskildringen är en historieberättelse och inte en liknelse eller symbolisk berättelse framgår av hur skapelseberättelsen i första Mosebok fortsätter att beskriva människans syndafall, Kain och Abels liv, Noa och syndafloden, Abrahams liv, Josefs liv i Egypten, Moses uttåg ur Egypten osv. Strukturen och innehållet talar på alla sätt för att första Mosebok skall läsas som historia och skildringar av verkliga händelser. Helt annorlunda är det med en del visioner hos profeter som Hesekiel och Daniel samt hela Uppenbarelseboken, där saker och ting från början till slut klart framstår som visioner av det tillkommande i symboliskt tal istället för bokstavliga beskrivningar av jordisk-fysiska händelser. Ingenting i kontexten framställer skapelseberättelsen som symbolisk, men mycket i bl a Uppenbarelseboken framställer den som symbolisk.
 

Vi bör läsa Bibeln utifrån hur den framställer det själv. Delar av bibeln innehåller ju symboler och liknelser. Andra delar innehåller historiska berättelser. Så låt oss läsa liknelse som liknelse, profetia som profetia, symbol som symbol, historia som historia, poesi som poesi osv."
