Persecuted Christians - Nigeria - another "Christmas massacre"?

- Since many years I have shared news on Nigeria on my blog and the country has been a prayer topic for many years. Every year I have shared Open Doors World Watch List. 

The WWL is Open Doors’ annual ranking of the 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. 

More than 380m Christians suffer high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith. Nigeria is 7th on the World Watch List 2025, according to Open Doors.

According to Christian Post, a religious freedom advocate (Judd Saul, founder of the advocacy group Equipping the Persecuted), is warning of the potential for another *“Christmas massacre” in Nigeria as Christians in the country continue to experience targeted attacks on an unprecedented level.

*(The Christmas massacre Saul spoke of occurred on the days leading up to Christmas 2023 in several villages throughout Plateau state, resulting in the deaths of more than 160 Christians.) 

We should pray for our brothers and sisters in Nigeria.
