Evangelisten Lukas skriver: "Och nu överlämnar jag er åt Gud och hans nåderika ord, som har makt att uppbygga er och ge åt er arvslotten bland alla dem som blivit helgade."
Aposteln Paulus skriver: Ef. 1:18 "Jag ber att era hjärtan skall upplysas, så att ni förstår vilket hopp han har kallat er till och hur rikt på härlighet hans arv är bland de heliga."
"And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified." (Acts 20:32 ESV)
