Julens budskap är en ständig påminnelse för oss att Gud i Kristus har blivit mänska och kommit oss nära. Han kom som Frälsare till världen. Var och en som nås av honom blir frälst. I Kristus finner mänskan glädje och frid. Ända till slutet kämpar syndens kött mot detta evangelium liksom det har skett under två årtusenden. Men vi blir tröstade av att Kristus har övervunnit den onde. Kristus är på vår sida. "Ljuset lyser i mörkret, och mörkret har inte övervunnit det." (Joh. 1:5)
