Kristi rike är ett barmhärtighetens och nådens rike

Luk. 15:5 "och när han funnit det blir han glad och lägger det på sina axlar."

"I hela evangelium finns det väl knappast, ett ljuvligare exempel än detta, där Herren liknar sig själv vid en herde, som bär det förlorade fåret tillbaka till hjorden på sina axlar. Han bär det ännu idag på samma sätt.



Summan av evangelium är denna, att Kristi rike är ett barmhärtighetens och nådens rike, där det aldrig blir fråga om annat än att alltid bära. Kristus bär vår sveda och sjukdom, våra synder tar Han på sig och har tålamod med oss när vi går vilse och felar, vi ligger alltjämt på hans axlar, och Han har ännu inte blivit trött av att bära oss. Detta ska vara vår allra största tröst, när vi råkar i anfäktning för våra synders skull. De som är förkunnare i detta rike ska trösta samvetena, umgås vänligt med dem och föda dem med evangelium, de ska bära de svaga, bota de sjuka och veta att rätt dela ordet samt bära fram det åt alla och envar därför att han nödgas till detta."

Hela familjen misshandlad för sin nyfunna tros skull

"Den 27 mars satte sig en familj bestående av nya troende ned för att äta middag när en grupp religiösa fanatiker plötsligt tog sig in i deras hem och attackerade fadern, modern och de tre barnen. En av döttrarnas hand bröts, sonen blev medvetslös och modern förlorade sin hand som förövarna högg i tu. Fadern och en annan dotter misshandlades också svårt. Alla fem har tagits in på sjukhus för behandling.

Förföljarna är ändå inte färdiga än, utan söker vid samlingar och bönemöten nu efter familjens pastor, Chaarudatt. När pastor Chaarudatt fick höra om gruppens planer, lämnade han byn.
Detta samhälle är välkänt för sin fientliga inställning mot troende, och attacker planeras ständigt när pastorer eller missionärer kommer på besök."

- Vi ber om helande, frid och förtröstan för denna familj, och vi ber att Gud ska ge dem glädje mitt i deras lidande. Vi ber också om vishet och säkerhet för Pastor Chaarudatt och alla andra troende i området, och att de religiösa extremisterna skulle vända sina hjärtan till Jesus Kristus.


CENTRALAFRIKANSKA REPUBLIKEN



"Det råder oro för de kristna i området efter att rebeller tagit över huvudstaden Bangui och tvingat president Bozizé i exil. Lokala källor uppger att Seleka-rebeller erövrat staden den 24 mars, efter att ett första angrepp slagits tillbaka av arméstyrkor. Tiotusentals civila har flytt från området, vissa över Ubangui-floden till Demokratiska Republiken Kongo, medan andra har sökt sig till Kamerun. FN, UNICEF och andra humanitära organisationer har också lämnat området. De invånare som inte kunnat fly har försökt skydda sig genom att hålla sig inomhus.

Staden är nu mörklagd efter att strömförsörjningen slagits ut. Priset på mat har stigit dramatiskt med 80 %. De kristna verkar vara särskilt utsatta under dessa omständigheter. Preliminära ögonvittnesrapporter talar om en allvarlig brist på respekt för människoliv och egendom. Åtminstone en pastor har dödats, och flera kyrkor har förstörts i våldsamheterna."

- Vi ber att Herren ska styrka och uppmuntra hela Kristi kropp i dessa tider av osäkerhet. Vi ber om beskydd för de kristna som sitter fast i Bangui, och för vishet för de internationella ledare som arbetar för att lösa krisen.




IRAN  

"Vi tackar Gud för att fyra av de fem som har suttit arresterade sedan tillslaget i Shiraz i oktober 2012 har blivit frisläppta mot borgen. Vi ber att dessa fyra troende, tillsammans med sina familjer, ska få känna av den närhet, frid och det helande som Jesus ger, när de nu återgår till vardagen tillsammans. Vi ber också att den femte troende från gruppen ska släppas snart, och att åtalen skall läggas ner, eller att de troende ska frikännas, och borgensumman återbetalas.

Vi tackar också Gud för att pastor Behnams hälsa har blivit bättre, och att han nu kan gå. Vi fortsätter att be för honom i fängelset i Karaj, eftersom han fortfarande är i behov av medicinsk vård. Vi ber att han och alla de andra som är fängslade i Iran för sin kristna tros skull ska få känna av Jesu närhet, frid och helande, och att de snart ska få bli fria."

Mänskorättskämpen och juristen (Front line defender) Vadim Kuramshin har fått ringa telefonsamtal. Han är ok. Det kunde vara värre, men nattsömnen är dålig. Vi tackar för att han är ok men fortsätter att be. Situationen är fortfarande farlig för honom i fängelset.

Vadim Kuramshin has phoned. He is ok, it could be worse, but he is suffering from insomnia. We offer thanksgiving and we continue to pray. He is still in danger.

Today we remember Dietrich Bonhoeffer, martyred for his faith by Nazi soldiers April 9, 1945.

Lekmannasamlingen Fokus: Söndagen den 7.4 hedrade vi stående offren för Holocaust, och de överlevande, vi bad för det judiska folket, vi uppmärksammade Yom HaShoah i Israel (Minnesdagen) vi bad för Kazakhstan (mänskorättskämpen Vadim Kuramshin) och för att rätten skulle ha framgång i landet. Vi bad för Belarus och räknade upp namnen på de politiska fångarna) och bad för landets president (att han skulle få lära känna Jesus Kristus). Vi bad också för lidande och förtryckta folk; Pakistan och Egypten nämndes.

Standing together in prayer: Honoring the victims of Shoah and remembering Yom HaShoah in Israel. We prayed for the Jewish people and for the Holocaust survivors. We prayed standing together for Kazakhstan and human rights defenders (especially for Vadim Kuramshin and his friends). We also prayed for Belarus; for the country, for righteous laws, for the president (that he would get to know Jesus Christ) and for the political prisoners that we also listed by their names: Dzmitry Dashkevich, Mikola Statkevich, Mikalai Autukhovich, Ales Bialiatski, Igor Olinevich, Alexander Frantskevich, Nicholas Dzyadok, Eduard Lobau, Jauhen Vaskovich, Artem Prokopenko, Aleksandr Molchanov, Andrew Gaidukov and Pavel Sevyarynets. Pakistan and Egypt were also on our hearts when we prayed for oppressed, suffering and persecuted Christians all over the world. We did not forget to mention those who are tortured in the prisons. (Hebr. 13:3)

Heidi Tyni var kvällens gäst och hon berättade och visade bilder om missionsarbete. Hon har ju arbetat i både Ryssland och Israel. Kollekten gick till MKV. Heidi Tyni sade att vi alla är kallade att vara uppståndelsens vittnen (Matt. 28:16-20) och trots att "en del tvivlade och andra tillbad" gav Jesus dem missionsuppdraget. Apg. 1:8-11 "medan ni går....där ni finns - ska ni vara mina vittnen, sa Jesus. "I Jerusalem och i hela Judeen och Samarien..."

Heidi Tyni was our guest and she talked about missionary work. She has been working in Russia and Israel. Heidi Tyni said that we are all called to be witnesses of the resurrection (Matt. 28:16-20), "And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted." Jesus Christ gave them the great commission despite some doubts. Be a witness were you are: Acts. 1:8-11 "while you go .... there you are - you shall be my witnesses, 'said Jesus." In Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria ... "

The gospel issues no orders, but gives all

"the Gospel does not require anything good that man must furnish: not a good heart, not a good disposition, no improvement of his condition, no godliness, no love either of God or men. It issues no orders, but it changes man. It plants love into his heart and makes him capable of all good works. It demands nothing, but it gives all."



"The effects of the Gospel are of an entirely different nature. They consist in this, that, in the first place, the Gospel, when demanding faith, offers and gives us faith in that very demand. When we preach to people: Do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God gives them faith through our preaching. We preach faith, and any person not wilfully resisting obtains faith. It is, indeed, not the mere physical sound of the spoken Word that produces this effect, but the contents of the Word.

The second effect of the Gospel is that it does not at all reprove the sinner, but takes all terror, all fear, all anguish, from him and fills him with peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. At the return of the prodigal the father does not with a single word refer to his horrible, abominable conduct. He says nothing, nothing whatever, about it, but falls upon the prodigal’s neck, kisses him, and prepares a splendid feast for him. That is a glorious parable exhibiting to us the effect of the Gospel. It removes all unrest and fills us with a blessed, heavenly peace.
