Few Christmas messages take proper note of the geography and genealogy in the Bible. The Gospel of Luke tells us clearly that the line of Joseph was in the land of Israel dating back 1000 years to king David. Joseph went with Mary to Bethlehem, the Town of David, to register.
The baby Jesus was brought to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem to be presented to the Lord, according to the Law of Moses.
The fact of the matter is that there would be no Christmas without the Jewish history in Israel, and as Christians we are grateful for the Gift of the Jewish people!
