ECI: "After events organised this year by pro-Palestinian far-left groups which invited convicted terrorists and their families to speak at the Parliament, we are grateful for the leadership of the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani, who made it clear that the institution's meetings "must not become a platform in support of terrorism".
One event in September included Palestinian hijacker Leila Khaled while another back in July included relatives of terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who was convicted of murdering four Israelis and a Greek Orthodox monk.
“Can you imagine the family of Osama Bin Laden been invited to the European Parliament to express the rationale of their terrorist relative?" asked Rabbi Menachem Margolin, founder of EIPA- Europe Israel Public Affairs, who organised a letter of protest regarding the event and its participants."
