Urgent: Dr Hany Hanna on hunger strike in Egypt - Do not forget Egypt!

Massmedial uppmärksamhet. Hungerstrejken fortsätter. Situationen svår i landet och för de kristna.

Dr Hany Hanna is on full  hunger strike since Wednesday April, 9. 2014 as a protest to the unjust and corrupt regime in Egypt. He protests against an inhumane society. He is protesting against the increasing hatred between people. He is also protesting against the killings of members of the army, the police and of the people. There is arrestment and imprisonment and harsh sentences on young people while corrupt leaders are living in luxury in prison or in freedom. Powerty. The ineffeciency of the Counsil of Ministers. Misleading media. There must be a change.

- Full hunger strike is a quite desperate act! I am very worried for my friends in Egypt, especially for the Copts. They are suffering every day. By this act of hunger strike Dr Hany Hanna is appealing to people of good conscience for a change. He says he is even ready to die and suffer for the sake of others.

UPDATE 15.4.2014: The hunger strike continues but Dr Hany Hanna is at home for the moment. He can be transferred to a hospital again (as on Sunday: 4 hours) if needed.
