"European Belarus" stands in solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan

The campaign "European Belarus" stands in solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan (7.1.2022).

- The civil campaign "European Belarus" was created in 2008, initiated by Andrei Sannikov, Mikhail Marynich, Mikola Statkevich, Viktor Ivashkevich.

Unfortunately I cannot find the English translation to the text, but trying to translate most of it by myself.

The campaign states as follows:

"We call on the international community to resolutely rebuff the interventionists and support the people of Kazakhstan."

The civil campaign "European Belarus" also expresses its solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan that are fighting for freedom, against repression and oppression.

The whole world witnessed how the peaceful protests of Kazakhstani's defending their rights faced provocations by the authorities, with the unjustified use of force and weapons against civilians.

The actions of the corrupt Kazakh rulers have led to a full-blown political crisis in the country.

Wanting to retain power, the head of Kazakhstan betrayed the interests of the state and the people and called on foreign states to help stifle popular protests.

On January 6, 2022, a military invasion of Kazakhstan began, led by Russia, with the participation and approval of the rulers of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Tajikistan.

The dispatch of the Belarusian military to Kazakhstan was authorized by an illegal ruler who is not recognized in the world and has no right to speak on behalf of the people of Belarus.

European Belarus strongly condemns the use of unjustified violence by the Kazakh authorities against peaceful protesters, which has led to an escalation of tensions in the country.

"European Belarus" protests against the intervention of the CSTO punitive troops in Kazakhstan and calls on the international community to resolutely rebuff the invaders and support the people of Kazakhstan."

Former Belarusian presidential candidate and diplomat in exile Andrei Sannikov stated earlier as follows:

"Dictators always help each other. --- "Today the free world’s fundamental values are under attack. Unfortunately, dictators’ cooperation proves to be very effective. Sometimes they are even more effective than the democratic world. This is what the democratic opposition is constantly speaking about, and it should be taken into consideration." The president of Finland, Sauli Niinistö mentioned in his speech on New Year's day 2022 (regarding Russia threatening Ukraine and in general):

"The sovereign equality of all states is the basic principle that everyone should respect. --- It is not possible to build a sustainable future by threatening with the use of armed force or other kinds of violence. --- National security, self-determination and room to manoeuvre are just as important to small nations as to big ones. While taking care of these fundamentals, we are also safeguarding Finland’s international status."
