“Policemen visited my flat in Minsk, – Andrei Sannikov said. – They demanded my wife to inform about my actual location and give them the address. They hinted that I could be put on wanted list. They said that I have an unexpunged conviction, so they should know my whereabouts. --- In 2010 Andrei Sannikov took part in the presidential elections in Belarus, he collected a considerable number of votes, however instead of participation in the second round of voting, he was arrested. He spent 16 months in jail. After he was released from prison he had to leave Belarus. Now he lives and works in Europe."
