"But the Holy Ghost knows how to speak. He could have said: The righteous man shall live by faith, formed and beautified, or made perfect by love. But this He purposely does not do, simply saying:
The just shall live by faith.
And we still hold to this faith, which God Himself calls faith, which does not doubt God nor His promises that we have forgiveness of sins through Christ, that we may dwell sure and safe in this our object, Christ, and may still keep before our eyes the passion and blood of the Mediator and all His benefits.
