Aung San Suu Kyi vann i söndags en plats i parlamentet, enligt hennes parti NLD.

Folket jublar och får en ny tro på framtiden. Nobelpristagaren Aung San Suu Kyi har suttit 20 år i husarrest utan möjlighet att delta i landets politik.



"There have been jubilant scenes outside the headquarters of Burma's National League for Democracy after the party declared its leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, has won a parliamentary seat in byelections. It is a milestone for the Nobel laureate who has spent much of the past 20 years under house arrest, barred from involvement in the nation's politics."
