Praise and prayer by the persecuted Church of China - styrka från Gud, uppmuntrade av hans kärlek

1 Peter 3:15. Matt. 5:1-16. Ex. 14:13 (Fear not, stand firm). From ChinaAid/dr Bob Fu. Beijing Shouwang Church  report and wonderful encouraging prayer/Shouwang församling rapporterar - läs brevet som andas djup förtröstan på Gud trots lidande och svårigheter: (cannot help crying while I translate this) Shouwang - could You please pray for us here in Europe?

Dear brothers and sisters:

Peace in the Lord! On this past Sunday, we held the twelfth outdoor worship service of this year. It was a cold day with snow, and believers continued to worship our Lord with faith and hope.

As far as we know, on Sunday morning, at least eleven believers were taken away from locations near the platform for attending the outdoor service. Three believers were released on the way, and the rest of them were sent to five local police stations. The last believer was released around 20:00 pm on Sunday.

This was the second time we worshipped outdoor on a snow day since 2009. God is the Lord of our lives, and is also the Lord of heaven and earth and of all creation. He paints the blue sky, and he also commands the snowfall in spring; he is the Lord of the weather. We give thanks to the Lord for his guidance and protection. The Lord himself also once walked the journey of serving with loneliness and hardships, experienced suffering and pain, and faced threats and slanders from men. However, he has overcome it and become our example and strength. May the Lord strengthen us, so that we are determined to suffer for him, not to conform to this world, but to sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts (1 Peter 3:15). As we are encouraged by his love, we continue to witness him and to make his name known to the world.

May peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the mercy and love of Father God, and the console and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, be with each brother and sister of Shouwang Church and all the churches who remember Shouwang Church in prayers, from this time on and forevermore! Amen.

Amen.

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15

And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
10  “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11  “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12  Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
14  “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matt. 5:1-16

"And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again." (Exodus 14:13)
