Klag. 3:23/Lam. 3:22-23/Neh. 9:31

"Herrens nåd är det att det inte är ute med oss,

ty det är inte slut med hans barmhärtighet.

Den är var morgon ny,

ja, stor är din trofasthet."

"Ich danke dir, mein himmlischer Vater, durch Jesus Christus, deinen lieben Sohn, daß du mich diese Nacht vor allem Schaden und Gefahr behütet hast, und bitte dich, du wollest mich diesen Tag auch behüten vor Sünden und allem Übel, daß dir all mein Tun und Leben gefalle. Denn ich befehle mich, meinen Leib und Seele und alles in deine Hände. Dein heiliger Engel sei mit mir, daß der böse Feind keine Macht an mir finde."


Luthers morgonbön: 

Jag tackar dig, min himmelske Fader, genom Jesus Kristus, din älskade Son, att du denna natt har bevarat mig för all skada och farlighet, och jag ber dig, att du denna dag ville bevara mig för synd och allt ont, så att mitt liv och mina gärningar behagar dig. Ty jag befaller mig med kropp och själ och allt i dina händer. Din helige ängel vare med mig, så att den onde fienden inte får någon makt över mig. Amen.


Martin Luther's morning prayer:

"I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You.  For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things.  Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me.  Amen."
